I dont sell physical items, I am service based and have no barcodes to scan, is this still suitable for my store?

Yes, WebEPOS can be used for service based businesses as well. You can create items without barcodes and just select them from the item list during checkout.

I have an POS system that I purchased second hand, but am not subscribed to the services it came with, can I use your platform on it?

Yes, as long as the device has a web browser and internet access, you will be able use WebEPOS on it. Typically the touchscreen display, scanner and receipt printer will work with WebEPOS too.

I'm not good with technical things, and hate reading manuals, will I need to employ an IT manager to use this?

No, WebEPOS is designed to be user friendly and intuitive. Most users will be able to get started without any technical knowledge. We also provide support via whatsapp for any questions you may have. Instructions and hints are built into the platform, but if you're stuck we are just a call or message away.

Can I use this on my phone? I operate a food truck and prefer something more handheld

Yes, WebEPOS is designed to be responsive and works on all screen sizes including phones. You can use your phone to take orders and process payments on the go. We would recommend a bluetooth barcode scanner for the pre-packaged items. You always have the option of emailing receipts if you dont want to setup a printer.

Can your platform automatically open cash drawers?

Yes, WebEPOS can send the signal to open cash drawers that are connected to supported receipt printers.
Most receipt printers have a cash drawer port that can be used for this purpose. Please check with your printer manufacturer for compatibility. It should be noted, if your cash drawer is connected directly to the computer via USB or serial port, WebEPOS will not be able to open it automatically as this requires local software to communicate with the drawer hardware. In such instances we recommend using a receipt printer with a cash drawer port or a manaul cash drawer trigger.

I found a android handheld with a built in scanner, would I be able to use this as POS terminal?

Yes, you can. devices like the Zebra branded Android handhelds are siutable. however you will need a bluetooth or wifi printer to provide receipts to your customer, otherwise emailing the receipts would be the only option.

Is my data safe with WebEPOS?

Yes, we take data security seriously. All data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections and stored in secure databases. We also perform regular backups to prevent data loss. However, it is always recommended to keep your login credentials secure and change your password periodically for added security.
